In this release, we\u2019ve update the user interface (UI) to\u00a0simplify how you use it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">These UI enhancements include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>Hover and reveal \u2014 now, most of the controls for each row (phase, stage, task) are hidden until you hover over the row. This makes it easier to read the information you need quickly.<\/li>\n<li>Simpler stage sorting \u2014 move stages\/tasks up or down line-by-line with click arrows\u00a0on the left of the row. To sort with drag and drop, go to the work breakdown sorting options. This enhancement also\u00a0improves\u00a0speed\u00a0of\u00a0page load and\u00a0how quickly the controls respond.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Read the knowledge base articles to read about all the changes we made to the work breakdown. Login to Synergy and go to \u2018get help\u2019 to see more.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>UPDATE \u2014 Project schedule<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A small but significant update is in the project schedule. Tasks now have a sidebar with a date picker that allows you to add start and end dates to your tasks on the schedule page. All tasks need start and end dates if you\u2019re to take advantage of the powerful project performance measurement features. Now, you no longer\u00a0have to\u00a0drill-in to the project set up page to add these dates.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>UPDATE \u2014 Run reports in the background<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you export or print reports, you\u2019ll love what we\u2019ve done in the reporting page. You can now\u00a0export a report\u00a0in the background, leaving you free to do other things in Synergy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">We\u2019ve also added a progress bar dialogue box that remains visible showing how far the report has progressed. Once complete, you can click a link to download the report from this dialogue box.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will receive email notifications when reports are ready. Manage your notifications in settings.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>UPDATE \u2014 Staff folder security<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">We updated the security settings in the\u00a0staff\u00a0documents folder. Users with system administrator and director access\u00a0can see\u00a0all the folders and files in the staff folder.\u00a0Project manager and assistant project manager users only have access to their\u00a0temporary\u00a0files\u00a0folder.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>UPDATE \u2014 Performance improvements<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our developer team has been working hard to improve performance across the application. In particular, you\u2019ll see performance improvements in accounting add-on connections (<a href=\"https:\/\/totalsynergy.com\/add-ons\/xero-add-on-for-synergy\/\">Xero<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/totalsynergy.com\/add-ons\/quickbooks-online-add-on-for-synergy\/\">QBO<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/totalsynergy.com\/add-ons\/myob-add-on-for-synergy\/\">MYOB ARL<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">You\u2019ll see performance improvements in creating and submitting invoices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Head over to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.totalsynergy.com\/\">knowledge base<\/a>\u00a0to see the full release notes (Synergy login required).
