Use the project schedule, a Gantt\u00a0chart-like view, to\u00a0adjust your project\u00a0tasks and milestones\u00a0in Synergy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Take advantage of added functionality to add tasks in the project template \u2014 so they&#8217;re always there when you create a new project using that template \u2014 and add tasks in the project schedule planning screen. You can also now add milestones to the project plan setting target dates for significant points in time.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>Create\u00a0tasks\u00a0and milestones<\/li>\n<li>Expand stages\u00a0to see underlying tasks<\/li>\n<li>Drag tasks\/stages to new dates<\/li>\n<li>Resize the duration of a stage\/task<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>New \u2014 Tasks dates<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Schedule your tasks more accurately with\u00a0start and end dates.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>New \u2014\u00a0Hide completed stages<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Are you working on a big project with many stages?\u00a0For a cleaner view, use the toggle\u00a0option to hide your completed\u00a0stages\u00a0in the schedule.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>New \u2014 Milestones<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">We developed\u00a0<em>milestones<\/em>, a point in time in the project where a deliverable is due. See all your milestones on a project in the milestone report page.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The milestone report page shows how you are tracking compared to your scheduled milestone completion date.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/totalsynergy.com\/blog\/the-milestones-on-the-road-to-task-management-synergys-november-update\">Read the task management blog by Synergy product manager Paul Hemmings.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Update \u2014 Excel imports<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Take advantage of added functionality:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>The\u00a0addition of payments\u00a0allows new Synergy users to import payments in Excel and mark them as paid in Synergy \u2014 this is linked to the Excel project financials import.<\/li>\n<li>New &#8216;office&#8217; column in projects Excel spreadsheet<\/li>\n<li>You can add a title (optional) in the staff and contact imports<\/li>\n<li>New job title column in the contact import<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Update \u2014 Security matrix<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">In Synergy Enterprise, you can now limit who has access to the\u00a0project\u00a0schedule from the security matrix page.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Update \u2014 Add template<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">We\u2019re all about efficiency here, so you can now add a project template from all the pages in the planning board.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Using Synergy\u2019s elastic planning, the template will scale according to your project start and end dates,\u00a0and\u00a0fee, when a template is added to a project.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Update \u2014 Tasks reports<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can see all your tasks and milestones in the tasks report. The report also has new columns that show the start date, the due date and the completed date.\u00a0And a handy new report is &#8216;list the overdue tasks on all my projects&#8217;.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Update \u2014 By office folder sync<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you use the folder sync and have multiple offices, you can now choose which office the\u00a0folders\u00a0are synced to.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Update \u2014 Custom fields<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">URLs entered in the custom fields are now clickable.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This month\u2019s product update is all about task management.
