For\u00a0Scott Bampton<\/a>, joining Total Synergy as a Product Marketing Manager wasn\u2019t just a career move. It was a natural next step in a journey shaped by a love of helping design firms do their best work.<\/p>\n

With nearly 15 years in the architecture and design industry and more than six years using Total Synergy, Scott brings both hands-on experience and a deep understanding of what architects and engineers need to succeed.<\/p>\n

A Career Built on Design and Structure<\/h2>\n

Scott started out at a small interior design studio, Zunica, where he experienced firsthand how difficult it was to find tools that provided clear visibility into how projects were running. That early challenge shaped his appreciation for systems that support both creativity and business performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI liked solving problems, supporting teams, and putting structure around creative work.\u201d Scott Bampton<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Scott then moved to Gray Puksand, stepping into a national operations role where he began using Deltek. Running a practice at that scale demanded deep insight into team performance and project detail, but the complexity of the software and the need to modify it to fit outdated processes often led to technical breakdowns and unnecessary costs.<\/p>\n

During this time, Scott also served as the VIC\/TAS Chair of the Design Institute of Australia (DIA), where he gained a broader understanding of the challenges design professionals face in running their businesses and how little business education exists within the industry.<\/p>\n

His next move took him to Elenberg Fraser, where he was introduced to Total Synergy for the first time. The platform\u2019s intuitive interface made it easy to self-learn, and with support from the Customer Success team, Scott quickly became an expert user.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the end of the day, great design relies on great organisation. If your team is stretched or your systems are clunky, it shows in the work. The right structure lets people focus on what they do best.\u201d Scott Bampton<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Later, at BayleyWard, he implemented Total Synergy himself as the firm expanded with new offices and a growing team. It became a key tool in helping manage project overruns and improve profitability, which were critical priorities during a period of rapid growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d already seen the benefits\u2014how the project managers got a real grip on their deliverables and burn rate, how finance could co-create invoices with the team and speed up that process, how I could easily show the directors which projects where running well and which were troublesome. It became the foundation of how we ran projects. Once you\u2019ve had that visibility, it\u2019s hard to imagine going back.\u201d Scott Bampton<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Joining the Team to Shape What\u2019s Next<\/h2>\n

After years of using Total Synergy every day, Scott brings a rare perspective. He knows the product inside and out, appreciates what makes it valuable, and sees where it can evolve to serve the industry even better. In his new role, Scott is focused on bringing the voice of the industry into the product and marketing teams.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d been in the system long enough to know what worked really well and what could be improved. The purpose of this role is to connect the industry\u2019s voice with what we\u2019re building. It\u2019s about understanding the challenges that architects and engineers face, not just with the software, but in their businesses as a whole, and figuring out how we can support them to keep doing great work.\u201d Scott Bampton<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
