Custom Colours

Our new Custom Colours feature allows for a high degree of personalisation in managing and viewing your projects. This feature facilitates better visual management by enabling you to select specific colours for stages, tasks, and milestones. It can be aligned with specific standards like the RIBA Plan of Work. This visual customisation helps project tracking and enhances the presentation and understanding of project phases among team members and stakeholders.

This feature is particularly useful for UK customers, giving them the ability to tailor project colours to align with the RIBA Plan of Work colours for better identification and management of work in progress.

Project and Invoice Filtering 2.0

The updated filtering options make managing large volumes of project and invoice data easier. This feature significantly reduces the steps required to find the information you need by enabling you to apply filters directly from the column headers. The new ‘Clear All’ button and visible filter tags further streamline the process, enhancing your ability to manage projects and invoices quickly and accurately.

Advanced Invoice Notes

With the updated Advanced Invoice Notes, you now have more robust tools to manage communication and record-keeping directly within your invoices. This feature expands the types of notes you can include and introduces an improved interface for managing them, making it easier to add detailed context, set tasks directly from notes, and link relevant information. This can significantly reduce the time spent navigating different tools and ensure that key details are readily accessible.

Invoice Documents

The new Invoice Documents feature is designed to simplify handling invoice-related documents. Improvements in how documents are previewed and attached within the system minimise the need to switch between screens or use external tools for document management. Whether sending a payment application or attaching supporting documents to invoices, these tasks can now be performed seamlessly within the action pane.

We’ve introduced Customised Stage and Resourcing, which allows you to tailor your project resource management to your unique needs. You now have the capability to fine-tune resourcing requirements when extending a stage or adjusting an individual resource’s duration within Project Planning & Schedule boards. The options to ‘Keep Weekly Effort’ or ‘Preserve Total Hours’ provide you with precise control over resource allocation, enhancing project management efficiency.

Improved Security Matrix

Elevating Access Control for Enhanced Security

We understand the importance of data security in your project management endeavours. That’s why we’ve revamped our Security Matrix to offer you even greater control over access permissions. With the introduction of Custom Access Levels, you can create up to six new access levels, each with customisable names and permissions. This means you can ensure that the right people have precisely the access they need without compromising security. Our enhanced interface also features improved navigation, including search filters and expand/collapse views, making permissions management simpler.

1. Zapier Integration

Increased automation, efficiency and collaboration with Zapier Integrations

Integrations are highly desirable, and a core need for all customers. We are excited to announce that Synergy now connects to Zapier, allowing clients to integrate their Synergy data with a wide variety of third-party applications to support their business and project management.

The HR and CRM apps clients can integrate Synergy to include: BambooHR, Salesforce, People HR, BrightHR, SugarCRM, Zoho, Kula Hub, Workable and Pipedrive.

The key benefits of Zapier integrations with Synergy are:

  1. Automation: allows users to automate repetitive tasks and workflows between different systems. This saves time and effort by eliminating manual data entry and reducing the chances of errors.

  2. Efficiency: By integrating HR and CRM systems with Synergy through Zapier, users can streamline their processes and improve overall efficiency. Data can be seamlessly transferred between systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information across platforms.

More flexibility for Invoice payments and financial workflows

Improved configuration options for Payment Terms, across Invoices and Purchase Orders. These include the introduction of manual invoice payment dates and increased options for default payment terms.

3. Invoicing – Bulk Finalise and Bulk Send Invoices

A faster and more efficient way to work with Invoicing

Clients can now “Bulk Finalise” and “Bulk Send” invoices in two seperate actions (in addition to the joint action “Bulk Finalise and Send Invoices”).

Work more efficiently by copying previous timesheets

Timesheets are an essential part of tracking your work and hours. To help improve the way you use timesheets, we’ve introduced the ability to copy hours from a previous timesheet. This will save time and make work easier for those who often repeat the same information on their timesheets, and take away the hassle of re-entering the same information over and over again.

A new look and feel for our Planning Boards

We’re excited to be implementing a refreshed look and feel to Synergy’s Planning Boards to make them clearer to see and easier to use. With a new colour scheme designed to increase clarity, you’ll find working with Planning Boards easier than ever before. They still retain the same functionality so you can achieve everything you were using them for before, including the new additions of resourcing teams and staff introduced over the past few months. We’ve also made all pages AA rated for WCAG standards so that the visually impaired can see more of synergy.

Better manage your projects with the improved Project List

Continuing with our work to improve your experience using Synergy, we’ve introduced a range of enhancements to the Project List.

You now have the same filtering capabilities that have been recently added to the other lists throughout Synergy – the ability to save and load custom filter sets. This means you can set up filters to find the projects you need without having to manually clear and re-filter the list each time; so you can have the information you need faster.

This is enhanced with a range of new filtering options, including filtering by Billable, Custom Field, Prefix, Project Manager, Project Status, Project Tags, and Project Type. You’ll also be able to re-sort the columns of the Project List to better match the way you prefer to display your information.

We’ve also implemented pagination so you can show a smaller number of projects per page. The default view is 10, but you can choose from 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 projects to show at a time.
